Are you looking for a finance career that offers excellent insight into a global business and group financials in an international company? Now we are looking for a Director, Group Accounting to join the Valmet’s Group Financial Accounting Team within CFO organization.

Based in Espoo, Finland you will lead the Valmet’s Group Accounting Team, which is responsible for producing timely and accurate Valmet’s Group financials, corporate result in interim and annual reports and year-end disclosures according to Valmet’s Accounting Principles (in line with IFRS standards).

This role involves you as a key player to initiate and lead the continuous improvement of Valmet’s finance and control processes, systems and internal training in the Group Accounting area. You will lead a team of highly professional and committed technical accounting experts.

Requirements:You have a Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting and/or a recognized accounting qualification (CPA) reinforced by at least 10 years of working experience in financial accounting, group and business reporting, ideally in a publicly listed international company or a public audit firm.



In order to manage your role successfully, you have a solid understanding of consolidated Group accounts and financial statements as published in accordance with IFRS as well as broad experience of finance and control issues in general. Your good team working and networking skills and your ability to work in a globally networked organization reinforce your leadership background. What’s more, you possess excellent communication and presentation skills. You know how to identify the critical topics and are also able to penetrate detailed topics / process issues where necessary. You are accustomed to working with tight reporting timelines.

To really make your application stand out, you’ve had the knowledge of Hyperion consolidation system (HFM) and you are fluent in written and spoken Finnish and English.
